The week and weekend courses
are run by an experienced painter and teacher, who will be
able to give maximum individual help and advice to visitors
at any stage of development, including beginners and the experienced
amateur artist.

The groups are small to allow
for personal attention and plenty of working space with an
atmosphere that is friendly and informal.

Practical demonstrations and
talks are given on the application of various media and techniques.
A wide variety of subjects are covered; these include, oil
and water colour painting, pastel, pen and wash, sketching,
together with an appreciation of composition, line, texture,
tone and colour mixing.

Painting and drawing will be
mainly from the landscape, where there is an abundance of
local subject matter, ranging from hop fields, river scenes,
water mills, ancient churches and timber framed houses all
of which constitute superb pictorial motifs.

In the Studio there is an
interesting range of still life objects available for arrangement.
These include old rural aitifacts farm implements, flowers
and natural forms.

THE DAY
Painting all day Monday to Friday. 10.00 till
1.00 p.m. Buffet lunch at Lower House then 2.00 till 5.00
p.m., with use of the Studios in the evening if you wish
Buffet lunches are prepared by Tina selecting the most wholesome
fresh produce locally sourced which includes vegetables naturally
grown in her own garden without the use of pesticides and
artificial fertilisers.
